I have a fuel problem. I have a 1995 Z28 and i did a fuel pressure test because I was told that my car keeps losing its prime. Going by the Hanyes Manual for testing this. After I hooked up the fuel pressure gauge to the test port I turned on the key ant the pressure was 41psi just as the book said it should be but after the pump stopped my pressure bleed off. I hooked up a vaccum pump to test the regulator. While I was pumping up to 14 lbs I noticed fuel comming back up through the regulator. Should it do that? Is my regulator bad. Help please.

If you have a RUBBER hose after the regulator (returning tothe tank), you could pinch it off and if it bleeds down then, its probably a pump, if it were a leak you'd know it, and the remote possibility an injector is leaking into a cylinder (or intake).
