'69, BB, TH400, energy susp motor mounts. I can't seem to align the tranny mount to the crossmember. It's about an inch and a half towards the right side, passenger side, and won't budge. I can maybe pull it towards the center about half inch. What can be wrong? The sub-frame has never been hit and the crossmember is a new GM part. I also replaced the frame mounts to the correct BB parts. Did I miss changing something? Should I force it? I don't want to break anything.

I believe BBs are offset the right on purpose. I've never had one, but have read quite a few posts about it while researching a new subframe.

I'm sure one the BB guys can tell you for sure, but you might need a different cross member. If it were me, I'd consider whacking off the mount and rewelding it in the correct position.

The big blocks are offset about an inch to the passenger side for steering box clearance. Not sure I understand which way you meant it, but if the trans rubber mount is sitting too far to the passenger side it sounds like your crossmember is incorrect, although the only TH400 crossmember I've seen for these cars is set up for the big block and is offset to the passenger side. If the crossmember pad is sitting towards the passenger side as compared to the trans then the frame pads are incorrect which is more likely.
