One day when checking the fuses in my 87' Trans Am (305 carb) I noticed that the fuse for my computer was blown, naturally I changed it.
Once I installed the new fuse though, the car
would crankover but die moments later. I don't see how the computer could work without the fuse but my car performs like the computer is working? Any Suggestions?

I have an 83 Z28 with the Crossfire I've been chasing probs like this on. How does it run without the fuse(simulate blown)? Get ahold of a good (Craftsman) didgital multimeter and check the power to your ecu. See if it drops or spikes with or wothout the fuse. Also, double check your grounds for the ecu and the ignition system (foactory or aftermarket). You might even want to read the voltage runnig thru the fuse area with one installed and w/o. Good luck to ya.
