I've got a bad cowl induction solenoid. It looks like the entire assembly has to come out of the hood to do this. It's really tough to get to without laying all over the car. Has anyone done this successfully without pulling the hood off the car?

Mine died this summer and I had no problem pulling it out of the package of stuff under there. I had to lay blankets all over the fenders and more or less 'lay' across the engine and then across the windshield to remove all the little screws that hold the flapper system in place. Figured I might as well take it all apart and freshen everything. Now this winter it will go back together.
If you have the Assembly manual its pretty well laid out in there.
Like most things on these cars, its awkward but doable.
good luck
