Is the temperature sensor on a 68 327 Camaro located between the spark plugs? This sensor is broken. Anyone know where I can buy a new one? Do I need to go to a dealer?

THANKS!

Mine is located in the intake manifold up near the neck that the upper radiator hose connects to. I have also heard that many temp senders are screwed into the front of the head, maybe someone can varify. You can buy the sending unit at NAPA for certain and probably any other parts store. Some senders have a "nail head" fitting on top and some a post type fitting so take in your old one so they can match it. Cost $10-15.

Yes indeed, that is the temp sensor. You will have to replace it with an OEM replacement for it to be compatible with your gauges/lights. There are two, one for gauges and one for just an idiot light. Try Rick's First Generation at 1-800-359-7717...piece of cake....around $15.
