I am experiencing popping brakes on a 1990 pontiac firebird. has 67,000 mi. owned since new. Only pops at extremely slow speed, as when pulling in driveway, stopping at red light/stop sign. Stop and go situations. have new brakes, new calipers, and still popping, Any ideas?

May not even be the brakes, I've had several older cars with the same symptom, always turned out to be ball joints. Not sure on the newer suspensions though.......KZ

Struts or ball joints.

Check for warped front brake rotors.

I would also look at the upper A frame bushings. It will pop if the shims for the alinement have got loose and fallen out also.
