Ok I am getting backfireing, I put a new distributer cap on last night and plugs, well I have a plug out of order does anyone have a diagram that shows how they should go. It is a HEI style Dis., MSD Ig., 68 camaro 350 SB.

Kind of a dumb question but thanks alot for your help, this is my first job like this and my brother-in-law and I are doing all the work, I even took a part time job in a body shop to learn the right way to do my own body work and paint. So thanks for the help!

It's easy to mix up the 5 and 7 wires. The car will start but backfire.

I crossed my 5 and 7 after changing cap too. Rick is right on, it starts ok, but pops and farts as you drive along, Thank goodness I didnt hurt anything.
