I own a 67 rsss rag and I find that when I depress my clutch pedal after about driving it for an hour, it sort of squeaks and feels abrasive. It gets especially tough to push down after alot of use(not abuse). Am I missing a grease fitting to lube or has anyone else had this problem and found the cure. I have an org'l muncie shifter with a centerforce clutch. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the exact same setup as you (except mines a 69) with no problems at all. It sounds like the Z-bar might be a little too tight. Also, the replacement bars have a grease zert in them and the originals don't. It's not a bad idea to have the zert. The Z-bar needs to be greased and working freely. The end of the adjustment rod (where it contacts the clutch fork) also need a dab of grease.

Check under the dash for worn bushings that the pedal rides on.

I just bought the clutch rod kit from Art Morrison performance (artmorrison.com). It has spherical ends (with bearings) that help the clutch pedal not bind up. I saw the product when ChevyHighPerf dropped a new T-56 into an early Chevelle. Pretty easy install and it runs about $50 for the kit. You have to cut the tubing that they give you and weld on inserts for the ends but that is easy since you can use your old bar as a model. Then use 5/16" bolts with nylon nuts to hold it together. It's better than the rod and clip set-up from the factory. And, as Kurt said, it's always a good idea to grease up the z-bar once in a while.

If the sound you hear is a groan quite often it is due to the fork/bearing interface. The noise usually does not occur when the car is cold but gets worse as the car gets hotter. You may want to try a long artist paintbrush with some moly grease to lubricate the ends of the fork where it touches the bearing. Having a friend work the clutch helps get the grease well distributed.

The other suggestions are also good things to check, especially the Z-bar.
