I bought a 79 camaro a few weeks back. About 10 Minutes. after I drove off it died. With no power to anything. I found a wire burned into. Repaired it. Now I have power back to my dashboard. When I try to start it nothing happens. I replaced starter and solenoid.Had alternater tested. replaced Ignition switch.I am at a stand still. I put all my money into buying it so I can not afford to pay a Mechanic. Any help would be Appreciated.

You didn't say where the burned wire was, but be sure and check the fuses, the wiring at the alternator and battery. Also be sure the starter solenoid wire is in the correct solenoid terminal, if there are 2 of them. If you have a test light, you can disconnect the solenois wire(small one) and see if it lights the light when the key is turned. Sounds like it won't, though. Possibly the wire that burnrd has been melted further up towards it's power source.
