Can anyone tell me where the turn signal is located on a 2001 impala. I need to change and cant find it. I am guessing it is behind the instrument panel. Is this correct and if so is there an easy way to reach it. Puzzled by this new car.

doesn't it say in the owners manual? my bet is that they want you to have to bring it in so the dealer can charge you to hook up to a computer at a cost of more than $50 to tell you the flasher is shot. they think of everything...
or, you could go to a dealer and ask the parts guy where it's at, and how much one is.

Thats sounds typical for these new cars. No there isnt one thing in the owners manual. Read it last night. Nothing that indicates it on the fuse panel area either. What a pain. I will probably go to my parts store and see if they know where it is. My guess, like you said, it is probably intergrated into the instrument panel and you have to replace the entire thing. I may be using hand signals again. Sheesh, long live my ole mutt. At least I know where all the parts are on it.

My first answer is below.
Know anybody that's a ham radio nut or a radio electronics nut or broadcasting station guy. There's a sniffer where you put one device that sends a super low watt signal on a wire then the sniffer probe you search for the wires and their ends. Not sure how good it does for non coax wire.
