Can someone tell me what to look for in a bad HEI distribitor? It has an Accel Supercoil on top. Don't think im fireing?

Alot of times the Flat Black Module in the distributor goes bad and that will keep the Car from firing, But double check the coil to make sure it isnt bad also, I think the modules ( if that turns out to be the case ) run around $30.00

Check for 12 volts at the terminal that is closest to the firewall. the accel coil connection is marker Batt + (I also have one on my 69) Although it may read as low as 9 volts (if resistance wire was used (original point resistor wire). Mine reads 10v and operates fine (one day i'll replace it w/ normal copper wire). Make sure the module clip connector is attached (closest to the distributor cap itself). If all checks out, you may want to remove the cap and make sure the high voltage contact button on the coil base (from rotor cap)is not missiing or broke. Also inspect the wire as the enter into the distibutor base as they (due to vac adv movement) may have wore the insulation and shorted to gnd, or broke one of the 4 wires (open ckt).

In addition to what Joe has said, check the
magnetic pickup coil. The other end of the module connects directly to the p/u coil. The resistance should be about 19 ohms. If this coil shorts or opens you will not have any spark trigger.
