1. Car lacks the original acceleration.
2. When accelerating from either a stop or when rolling, as the car passes through 1900-2100 rpms, there is a loss of power and rpms go flat
3.Add more gas pedal and rpms jump up to 3200 (in same gear), car accelerates hard, lift gas slightly, upshifts and rpms drop. If rpms drop above 2100, then acceleration is steady and uninterupted; if rpms drop back into 1900-2100 range, it starts all over again!

These symptoms first occured originally at 60,000 miles and became steadily worse. The car was diagnosed by the dealer with bad plugs and wires. The repair was fine. One month later I received a letter from GM decribing the problem and saying it was reimbusasble ( I only got back 1/2 of what the dealer charged me).

At 100,000 miles it began again; this time GM customer service said it was normal wear and tear, and it was on my dime..
To verify the problem I placed the car on dealer and private diagnostic machines, and the codes indicated replacing spark plugs, plug wires and coil packs. It did not completely fix the problem and it has become steadily worse and is now undrivable.

I can't help but feel it is a computer/sensor/communication issue. It doesn't feel purely electronic, fuel or transmission-related. The diagnostic codes aren't any help.

Check this web site, you will need the VIN # from your car. http://calid.gm.com/vci/
If you have a programable PCM and I think you do in a 95' this site will list new calibrations as GM updates/fixes problems for your particular car.
The newest calibration (if more than one is shown) is at the top with a description of what problem it fixes and all previous upgrades are included in the latest one.
To get the upgrade you will have to go to a GM dealer and have them reprogram the PCM with the newest calibration using a Tech 2. Should only be like one hour/labor rate.
Anyway a place to start.
