84 305 700r4 carb. when i take off normal it sounds good,but when i give it a little extra gas i hear this sound like the fan is dragging or something.I looked at the shroud and not dragging anywhere sometimes the trans shifts a little funny.A little help would be appreciated THANKS

check the shield above the tail of the tranny, it may be rubbing the u joint on acceleration

Possibly a bad motor mount. Put the car in drive with the brakes mashed by a helper. Have helper rev motor and watch that the engine seperates from the left motor mount

Check all U joints and exhaust sheilds

Also check the rear trans mount. It is common for them to break on these cars.
