Things to check,do you have turn signals, have you checked the bulbs, they are 1157 two element bulbs, one for running lights, the other for turn/brake lights.Brake pedal switches are usually adjustable make sure it is adjusted, you should be able to hear it click when you mash the pedal down slowly.

Its got to be the switch then.Check for fire coming in to the switch and then fire coming out from switch when you press the pedal. How long ago did you replace the switch?

Are your brake lights on the fuse block? I know this sounds basic, but if so, check the fuse. Also, the brake switch might be slightly out of adjustment, causing it not to trigger. Finally, the switch could just be bad as was mentioned. You did'nt mention if the running lights were working in the rear. If not, check the grounds at the tailight housings. The sockets actually ground to the housings on the 67-68's, but may be grounded to the trunk floor on other years.
