My 69 Turbo 350 has what appears to be a pan leak, but it could be from the dipstick tube O-ring. Any suggestions on getting a perfect seal on the pan and reseating the O-ring (Silicone (which type/brand, etc.)) so this problem will go away.
I've already done this once and wasn't too successful.

I used the yellow permatex and it doesn't leak. I have a buddy how does tranny work on the side, he said that he doesn't use any gasket sealer. I'm not going to use any next time and see how that works.
