bad vibration, comes up from the gear shifter and the rear end. started off just when you let off the throtle at about 85. Now it is a constant vibration from 70mph and up. The vibration gets worse as you go up. The car is a 1995 z28. i have replaced both u-joints, had the drive shaft ballanced and the tires ballanced. Please help.

My guess would be universal joint?

it can also be caused by a bad slip joint. if you have too much play in the slip joint it will do this.

Even though you've replaced the u-joints and had the shaft balanced, check the shaft in the car. Get the back end in the air, with good jackstands under the rear and run it in 1st gear and watch the driveshaft real close.

On your 92 it could be your rear trans mount. I have broke many on mine before and it will give you vibration.
