My wifes 69 camaro has been doing great. Now when you put the car into gear it dies. Even if you turn the idle up high it still idles down and dies when put in gear. It has a Holly 650 double pumper. It did this once before and I played with the carb and it seemed to fix itself. This is really anoying though I would like to fix the problem. The way it dies is just like when someone turns the enrichement screws into far and the motor stumbles down and dies. It goes into gear smooth and fine. It is definately in the carb. Thanks guys.

Rev it to about 2500 rpm and close the choke while holding the trottle open.
When it chokes down to about a thousand rpm's open the choke and let it clean out.

Do this about three times and see how it runs.

This will pull fuel out of all circuts in the carb including the idle air bleeds which may be plugged.
Then spray some carb cleaner on the air bleeds and down the float vent while running to burn off the carb cleaner.
