My sterring column on my '67 is making a squeek after a rotation or two. Dare I use WD-40? Or is there something else I should do?

WD-40 is a cleaner NOT a lubricant. I tried it on my sliding patio door. It lasted less than a day. White grease and its been good for over a year.

Don't forget that there is a spring loaded eyelet coming out of your steering column that rubs against a circular plate on the bottom side of your steering wheel. Good contact is required to blow your horn. So just don't indiscriminantly shoot grease or oil into the column to steering wheel junction. Try and determine exactly where the squeek is coming from first.
