Hey Guy's,
I bought a new gas tank from NPD for this firebird and I noticed a big diffrence....The old tank I took out of the bird only had a float in it for the fuel gauge (no sending unit) and one line attached to the top of the tank and one line on the bottom.
I called NPD and they told me that I need a sending unit (2 line) with the vent line to work with the new tank...$300 (only 10 units in the country)!!!!
Do you guy's think I can use any type of 2 line sending unit for less then 1/2 the price, say like for an early 70 firebird?
Thanks

On the old tank were the lock ring is located there was the float unit only, no fuel lines connected into it, Fuel delivery came from the 2 lines came out from the side of the tank.

The new tank has no "nipples" to connect the lines too. thats why I ask if it's ok to use a regular 2 line sending unit with the new tank.
Thanks
