I recently bought a 68 Camaro without the engine. I want to put an engine in. My question is, how much HP and TORQUE can the TH350 tranny take?

View Full Version : HP/torque on a TH350 Osiris Sep 25th, 00, 01:23 PM I recently bought a 68 Camaro without the engine. I want to put an engine in. The other thing to consider is if you plan to run slicks now and then and lots of HP the 350 won't stay. You can run a good healthy small block an run it farily hard and the 350 will take it.The bottom line on any automatic trans is,it must be built to do the job you ask it to do. The 350 will do well in most street aplications, the 400 robs HP/milage. If your budget allows the best thing to do is get a 700R4,they rock if built right. Larry |
