where should my vacum advance be hooked to carb or intake and how much vacum should be going to the dist?

In North Carlina I believe it goes to the carb. In the north it goes to the intake :D . Preasure varies. The lower connection is for blow off from the valve covers. I said to heck with it and stuck mine on the lower for ease since I don't use pollution.

Get a crane adjustable vacuum advance and hook it to manifold vacuum.
