I have a '96 V6 Camaro. Lately, when I start the car and also when accelerating, I hear a clicking sound. It also has a problem when picking up speed. It takes off, chokes a little, and takes off again. It use to have a speedy smooth take off. Do you think this could be due to dirty or broken fuel injectors?

Could be a batch of bad gas...lots of problems with water in fuel around this time of year...and the clicking could possible be detonation. Try running the tank down near empty and putting a fresh tank of gas in and see if that helps...you may want to add some water remover (like heet) at the same time. Just a thought.

Check your plug wires,sounds like one fell off,or is bad.Do this in the dark,a bad one will be easy to see.Or--- you can just feel around the wires,when you feel the shock,thats the one. Good luck

I have a 1968 327 and I had a bad clicking sound from my engine too. I later found out it was and exhaust leak, it is probably a blown gasket. It could also be a bent push rod. Sorry, I can't help with the take off problem.

could also be a busted valve spring, I had one of those and it made some strange noises and hurt my pickup a bit to say the least.
