my car gets really hot when I drive for like 15 minutes or so. The temp gauge starts to get really high almost to the red lines. what can be wrong. Can someone please help, or try to help.

Have you checked your coolant level? If it is low you need to top it off, then check the temp again. Check all around the engine bay for leaks (hoses, pump, radiator). The thermostat could also be sticking- might need to be replaced. Your water pump could also be damaged and need replacement. The radiator could be plugged up. Hoses and belts could be collapsing or slipping if they are worn out or incorrect. Engine timing and air/fuel mixture could be contributing if they are far off spec.

I think we need more information to give you any more specific direction!

Blow head gaskets and wiped out cams can cause overheating. :(
