anyone know if a 350 block casting #3932388 is 4-bolt or 2-bolt. Or could this block be both? Any other info on this block is appreciated.. I have the casting number book as a reference...

thanks
mike

Chevy by The Numbers shows it as a 4 bolt block for passenger and Camaro use. Is there a engine suffix on the pad along with a partial VIN?

My neighbot has one thats stamped HB that came out of a Camaro that is a 350/300 Turbo 350 tranny, High Perf. This engine is being dropped into a 65 Vette this weekend.

Ive read that the ...388 can be either 2 or 4 bolt, depending on how it was built up and for which final configuration.
Mine is 4 bolt, but others Ive chatted with here have 2 bolt.

click, does that mean the additional threads were tapped in all the blocks or just the 4-bolt ones?

Only 4 bolt blocks have 4 bolt holes. 2 bolt blocks can be converted with caps and machine work.
