I have a 68 convertible, it was missing the brace that spans across the drive shaft tunnel. I have purchased the brace, but the bolt holes in the brace are quite a bit larger than the 3/8 dia bolt holes in car. Is there some special hardware required for attaching it, or are they oversize for some reason. Can someone please tell me how this attaches?

The bolts have a large washer.

Just put it on. The holes have to be larger so the bolt can go thru it.
