I have figured some of the code out from reading other messages but still alot unknown. I would like to find out what the engine and transmission combination is. It is a 1969 Chevy Camaro.

Ok, I'll give it a shot. Guys, correct me if I miss something...

12437 = V8 Coupe
9 = 1969 model year
N = Norwood plant
626381 = production number. (they began at 500,000, so this is car #126,381.)

TR729 = Ivory Houndstooth Custom Interior
67E = Burgundy paint w/ Parchment vinyl top.

03E = build date- 5th week of March

x11 = Style trim group.

oops! I forgot to add the 301475 is the body # that was assigned during production.

the x 11 code doesn't tell you much, your car could be a base coupe with a 6 all the way to a ss 350. for sure no z/28 or 396 car.
if you post the engine #'s or more info, someone might could help. you might try searching the archives if you looking for something in particular (true ss or not, etc.)

How many leaf springs. 5 or 1? front disc brakes? 12 bolt? all these thing will help figure out of SS350 or just V-8 with trim package..

it has 5 leaf springs and 12 bolt rear end with front disc brakes . it has hide away head lights/ a/c

What's the axle code (see sketch under 'Decoding' on the CRG site)?
1 or 2 fuel lines?
Engine or trans original? Any # if they are?

That info should tell us what the car is.
