If its that 68 you want to have Decoded the first thing you need to know is it has a 67 Trim Tag. Decode for the Trim Tag is :


Decode for body number: 005731

11B = Built the Second week of November.
67-12637 = Custom Interior Coupe.
LOS = Built in Van Nuys California.
765 = Custom Black Bucket Seats.
Z = (A50) Strato Bucket Seats (without headrests).
C-2 = Lower Color is Ermine White and the Vinyl Top Color is Black.
P347 = internal plant scheduling code.
Options:
1W = (A02) Tinted W/S only
1L = (A67) Fold-down rear seat
2M = (M35) Powerglide Transmission
2G = (D55) Console front compartment
2S = (U73) Antenna Manual right rear

I think both of you are wrong on the paint code.
D-2 = Lower Color is Nantucket Blue and the Vinyl Top Color is Black.

FWIW, it looks like C-2 to me as well. The reason I say this is it looks identical to the tag on my C-2 67 from Van Nuys...

Reguardless the C-2, D-2 , O-2 is not an Issue here why are we looking at a 68 with a 67 Trim tag that is a show winner ?

Obviously the judges of these shows dont know Jack if it wins or they have theire Heads up their A@%es

Until the guy that started this thread comes back we just have to wait... tongue.gif I'd guess 90% of the shows out there cowl tags arn't even looked at!

Hey guys, sorry for all the confusion, no the cowl tag is not off of my 68, it is off a 67 that I seen on ebay that I was interested in. Geez!

I think I explained that it was not off of my car in another post , but it was probably deleted due to I couldn't get my pictures to work and I started a new post after I did get them to work.

i havea 1967 camaro and the option codes are as follows .. w 2ng 3k ...
what is confusing me is the 2ng
2 g in the console but i can not find a 2n the only place i see an N is for a engine option l35 ss396-325 horse.. please help

never mind i took a better look and scaped off some of the paint and i can see that it is an M not a N
