Nice car, Hey Jeff, Could be the missing link of a tilt wheel..here is from CRG site...
"Note that one code that has at times been reported in the Camaro press, "2K" for the N33 tilt wheel, has not been observed in any of the vehicles to date in the CRG database, and, particularly, has not been used on any 1967 database vehicles reporting the N33 option. For this reason it has not been included in the table, but mention is made here in the text for completeness"

How did you get that info just off the trim tag??? Can you get the same info off of a 68 trim tag? There is a 68 car that they say is a SS but cant prove it. If you can point me in the right direction I would greatly appriciate it. By the way I posted the numbers I was given on the car a few days ago.

Is it possible that's a pace car?

THe unusual thing I see it that the G is in front of the M on the tag. Every tag I have ever seen is MG - not GM. This could only be a pace car if it was listed on Ebay - yuk yuk.

Many people have ask me if my car is a pace car, it has turqouse interior, not blue. It was build the second week of february to early for a pace car.
In group 2 it is a K
I dont have a protecto plate or build sheet.
Some of the other options I have on the car is Tilt wheel, AM/FM radio. 8 track player, mounted on the center console Lid, with frt and rear speakers. But the AM/FM radio only operates the speaker in the dash. I think the 8 track was added to the car later. Let me go back and read the rest of the posts to see if i answered all the ???

On the vin number for securitiy reasons i wont list all of the numbers, VIN 124677L1-----
Rear end number on axle tube is QK 02 04 G
Date on center casting A-26-7 Correct me if I am wrong. This would be Jan 26 1967 and is the orignal rear end with round traction bar. 12 bolt posi.

On the trim tag? group 5BY-
The - is a fleet car ? I not sure what you mean. Many years ago the internation camaro club told me this is a special code for the dealer to paint a different color bumble bee nose stripe.
Could this be the special order code?

I was afraid 68s were the hardest to figure out. Guess the research presses on. smile.gif

Matt, Sent a neat program your way via E-mail. Also as for the (-) it could also be something neat as a Hertz Rental car or something on that lines also. Since you have had it so long it should be pretty easy to track down the org owner or companies that it was sent out to.
