The first ones your VIN. The 2nd line isyour sequential body #, and what you have down as NON or NUN is actually NOR(Norwood, where your car was made)The 727 is your interior, standard ivory. The 59 is body color,Frost Green and the other # should be 59 also(dont know what 50 is)saying that you have an all green car(no vinyl top)The 12b is its born on date(2nd week of Dec.), and the X11 is the exterior trim code.

The 59 50 paint code would indicate a frost geen body with a dover white painted top. Camaro used this type of paint style with only about a half dozen body colors,
but frost green is not a body color that is shown in my references. What color is the car? Could the 59 actually be a 53 (glacier blue), which is one of the colors listed for this type of combo.

X11 is a Z or a BB. Could be any other engine though.

Could you try rechecking the NOR #? It should be like NOR 123456 BDY.
And, as noted above, the paint code isn't quite right. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

2 fuel lines?
Disc brakes?

regarding the disk brakes, all I have been told is that there are disc brakes up front. However I do not see any disc brake booster, which is odd to me?

Don't know about two fuel lines. What does this mean?

From what info I have gathered, it was not a big block car. The car has been totally redone as an SS w/454 auto and air, black w/white ss stripes - another words a built SS. Any opinions on pricing on this type of Camaro? The condition of the car looks (I have only seen pics and tape) like a #2.

It does seem to me that there are alot of conterfiet SSs out there being sold by brokers (and others I am sure). More than I am used to seeing in the Chevelle world.

Thanks all

There are a lot of fake SS's and Z28's out there. You have to decide what you really want. To determine what a car might be worth, figure what it would cost you to build it from the ground up and then take roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of that cost and you have a rough idea of what someone else would be willing to pay for it. If the 69 you're looking at is nice and clean, and it cost around $15K to build, it's probably worth $10-$11K to most Camaro enthusiasts. Just don't overpay for something that can't be proven(no way to prove it's an SS at this point).

Could you get and post the NOR body # and the paint code?

Definitely not a BB car originally.

The 2 fuel lines is just that: does it have 2 fuel lines side by side from the tank?

Disc brakes in 69 included power brakes. Maybe they took it off to put the BB in. Didn't need to.....
