I have a 69 Z28 that I am restoring. It had many of the original engine parts, but also some that were not correct. My question is about the non original distributor and the non original carb.. The distributor numbers are 1112046, build date 2A28 and a 526 shaft. The carb. numbers are 3997788 GB, list 6238-1, build date 1B1. Any help would be appreciated.

1112046 = 1971-72 truck 350 w/manual trans
2A28 = Jan 28, 1972

So it looks like your is out of a 1972 Chev truck with 350 engine


Carb List 6238-1:
3997788GB is the part number for the following

1972 Camaro z28 350/255hp with auto trans

1=1971
b=December
1= 1st week
