I thought I would check my block casting and assembly codes on my 62 Impala. Cast 3789935 shows it 283 61-64. I dont know how to decode the assembly FII25D ?

Thanks 11D build so I guess it is the original block. Dont know if its a big deal in the impala world.

Did GM put partial VIN numbers on the blocks back then? The partial VIN for your car might be on a pad also. I'm not sure that they did that way back then.

this was the only code located on the front right pad. I cant get this thing on my hoist with the convertible X frame.
