Bought a basket case 68 camaro.

The the grill and is missing, along with a lot of other important things. My question, any way of telling what this car was? RS, SS ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

gotta post engine #s, rear #s, trany #s, and pics inside and out/specially chrome parts.

The engine and tranny are gone. I was going to order a grill but I noticed some of the front end sheet metal is different for an RS compared to other models. The question is how do I know what grill to order to match the sheet metal I have.

Appreciate any help. Not a whole lot to go on.

If the wiring is still there, you can tell by the backup lights, # of tail light bulbs, and location of the front turn / park lamps.

rs headlight switch has vacuam ports.

RS has extra chrome on the sides at the lower body line, are the holes there?

If you look through the rs section of the assembly manual, you can see a lot of places that things bolt on... are these holes drilled in your car?

bout all you can tell from the tag on a 68 is 6 or 8, and colors.
