I JUST PURCHASED A 69 RS. IT HAS ALL THE THINGS SUCH AS THE HEADLIGHTS, EMBLEMS, AND REAR BACKUP LIGHTS. THE TAG CONFIRMS THE FOLLOWING
12437........COUPE
NOR206691....NORWOOD BUILT , 206691????
TR711........BLACK INTERIOR WITH BUCKETS
72 72........HUGGER ORANGE, NO VINYL ROOF?
12B..........BUILT 2ND WEEK OF DECEMBER
X44..........BASE CAR?? DOES MEAN IT IS NOT AN RS???
THE SERIAL # IS 124379N562270
CAN ANYONE DECIPHER THIS FOR ME?
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT MOTOR & TRANNY & REARENDCAME IN IT?
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I too found a X44 car !! everybody say's it is not worth much ??? I dont know what X44 is but it is not a Z/28 I dont know about a RS ??? another guy say's that most 69 camaro's are Z/28's I went to a car show and saw 25 or 30 69 camaro's all the one's that I saw was Z/28's they must have made a bunch that year , I have not seen a 67 or 68 Z/28 ?
I had thought about getting a car I found if it was a Z/28 but everybody say's that since it is X44 it is not a Z car ?? I would think we are going to have to buy some fact book's or video's

An X-44 car cannot be a RS model. If you had a base car with the RS package, it would've been coded as an X-11. Sorry... http://www.camaros.net/forum/frown.gif

9 - 1969 Model
N - Norwood, Ohio assembley plant
562270 - 62,270th car built during the 1969 model run...
