I have a 327, but have been unsuccessful in decoding the VIN number. The number is,
T0215SA
Can you help?

The only thing I could find showin the 'SA' engine code was a 327 from a 1962 full size car or truck. That's not really your VIN though, it's the engine code which tells you the date '0215' (Feb 15th) and the engine 'SA' which is a 1962 327/PG combo.

Is there supposed to be another code on the block? If so where do I find it.

The partial VIN might also be on that pad where you found the engine code. The VIN is only important if the engine is still in the original vehicle. What car is it in?

The engine is not in the original car. I just want to know if the numbers on the block can give me original specifications. Such as horsepower and torque. Thanks

SA lists as 327 - 8 cylinder - Powerglide - C.A.C (What is C.A.C. ?) This would be, as built, a 250 horsepower @ 4400 rpm or 210 net HP. 10.5 to 1 (some list 10.25 to 1) compression ratio 4 inch bore, 3 1/4 inch stroke, 4 barrel carb. These were pretty darn good engines with lots of potential.
