This ebay jack #2466577026 is the same as the one I have in my 68. Is it a correct jack for camaro as the add claims? I was just about to toss mine on the junk pile and search for a different one.

Pat RS3SDL2MG Mar 12th, 04, 03:37 PM that jack is for a car in the 70's such as a 73 74 75 76 camaro or a car with slotted places in the bumper , it is not correct for a 67 68 69 camaro , the jack's that were in 67 68 69 camaro's all had seperate bracket called a load rest with the car it fit's wrote right on it , mine is 67 it reads 1967 camaro UN , they are a few different style's of jack from 67 to 69 but all use the seperate load rest , RS3SDL2MG Mar 12th, 04, 03:42 PM this jack is the style that 67 68 69 camaro's use , this is one style several other variation's were used but this is the most common http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42606&item=2465407350 36j1967 Mar 12th, 04, 04:42 PM These jacks must be hard to come by. I have three camaros, not one with original jack! Thanks for the information. I always heard the camaro base had a "U" stamped on it and this one does so I was puzzled. Pat Geezer Mar 12th, 04, 05:18 PM That’s the same jack I’ve gotten with the 67,68 and 69 Firebirds I’ve had. They have a rectangular slot in the bumpers that this jack fits. I seem to remember the Camaro jack having a removable load rest with a round pin in it. I don’t have the correct load rest for mine either.. |
