Also I have on my 67 a male plug on the fire wall just under the washer motor. Has one prong vertical and one horizontal. It is not plugged into anything in the engine and I dug around under the dash a bit, but without tearing up stuff I quit. Any ideas??

ahhhhh, that does help. So is there supposed to be a wire harness going from there down to my tranny? Thanks

The rest of the harness will come attached to the back-up light switch
