I purchased an 68 camaro rs/ss as a rolling chassi. I know it had a power glide tranny in it, and it has a 10 bolt nonposi rearend in it. Does that mean it was a small block 350? or did they use that rear end in big blocks too?

If it is the original axle then it means its not an SS. 12 bolts only with SS's. Small blocks (and L6's) are the only cars that would be equipped with a Powerglide. Big blocks used a TH400 3 spd transmission.

I don't know forsure if the rear end is original or not, and not to sure about what the original tranny was since it did not come with the car. All I can tell is it was an automatic. I do know it an rs forsure though, I have everything but engine and tranny figured out(int. & ext.) Here is the vin and cowl tag
