On an old Z I had I found a R and L on each respective frame rail in yellow. It was just forward of each coil spring. It was a norwood car. I also found an orange inspection mark on the drivers front frame rail just aft of the bumper bracket. Anyone else?

While going through a stack of my old car magazines I came across a 1993 issue of Camaro Enthusiast (publication of the old U S Camaro Club) with a tech article on the 1969 Camaro suspension details. It included a list of the formulas for the colors, based on the Sherwin Williams acrylic enamel paints.

So that I would be able to find the info again later on, I scanned the article pages and put them in the online album listed in my signature. They’re in the album with the wiring diagrams.

I don’t know how accurate the info is, but hopefully it will give you an idea on what was done.

Good luck, John

On a original 07A car subframe I found a yellow paint stencil that said "JUN 6 1969" it was just ahead of the right spring pocket on the outside of the frame rails.

Best to restore the marks that you find. If they aren't there, don't invent them (happens often enough, eg PTB on LA cars).
Also, in that article, note that the marks they found on the firewall were *under* the paint. Of course they then wrote them *on top* of the paint.
