: Cal-Tracs & Spring Relocators? KiZile Jul 24th, 01, 04:15 PM Can I use both the Comp Engeneering kit to relocate the shocks and Cal-Tracs without having one of them interfere with the other? I want to make sure of this before I buy them. Will any special fabrication be needed? I have the Competion Engineering SHOCK relocation mount and I just bought a set of CAL-TRACS for my 67. I just told them that I want the lower shock mounts to be in the back and inside of the axle houseing, I also have C/E's subframe connecters. My current set up is C/E "J" bolt traction bars with monroe basic replacement shocks, 5 leaf (one removed now 4) springs, and C/E sub-frame connectors. With this set-up the car would pull the left front 4-6 inches and carry it for about 40-60 feet. weight transfer to the rear tires is awsome as the car squats 8 inches in the rear. The car never made a full pass with this set up as I kept having other drive train problems (broken axle,trans and twisted a drive shaft on different passes). I am going to track test this set up and then switch to Cal-tracs and Hal adjustable shocks and see what happens.
