Off the top of my head I think those would be from a 65 327 refered to as old humper heads 64cc chambers most came with 1.94's but many have been changed to 2.02.No ACC holes They are actually a pretty good head for an OEM head used on 325 horse and up vette motors plus other applications.depending on what your current heads are and the price involved they may or may not be worth putting on there if the price is getting close to what some iron eagle heads or other aftermarket heads are then I would say no but if they are cheap and dont need gone thru I would say yes

My friend wants $300 for them and he just picked them from the machine shop after a complete work and they never had been shaved, just rectified. They aren't even painted yet. My only concern is their real origin and the lack of accessory holes. Can they be drilled for the A/C bracket and alternator? Is that possible?

If you need the holes, I would pass.

I tried several ways to run a set on my 69 that had no holes but they caused me more problems than I could tolerate. Some people try to drill and tap them but there is no provision for a boss and the shop I used to go to said "no" to the job based on previous attempts.

461 heads are ok,but had no accesories holes, not too big a deal, i would pass em up.Newer heads will flow lots more air,and actually be better on the lower octane fuel..

Thanks guys, I'll let them go. I had too much trouble finding the necessary brackets to install the a/c, that I don't want to even think about looking for other type of brackets again. http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif
