Anyone running a narrowed frame with leaf springs moved inward on a 1st Generation camaro. The previous owner welded on the rear frame one too many times and weakened it. Since I have to change it, I thought I just narrow the frame while I'm at it and add a cage. The gas tank has already been narrowed and the back is tubbed. I'd like to move the springs inward, but I'd like to see how others moved the front spring perch.

Can anyone e-mail me pictures of their rear frame?

The only one I saw that moved the front, was competition engineering subfame connectors (weld in style). They have the front spring mount already on them.

i used a set of rear frame rails for leaf springs, made by S&W Race cars and used housing floaters with a ladder bar suspension. I just recently though made it a coil over set up, to lower the stance.
i do not have any pictures, but you can check out S&W's site at: www.swracecars.com (http://www.swracecars.com)
let me know if i can be any help to you. i did all the work and cutting myself, so maybe there's something i can help you with.

Here is a link to C/E http://www.competitionengineering.com/default.asp

To see pictures of the parts, click "browse catalog", then search by part number C3012 for the connectors and C3031 for the required frame rails. I tried to copy and paste direct links but they didn't work for some reason.

I'm leaning towards using these parts myself, but haven't seen them in person. As a side note, you can get them through Jegs.

I used the leaf springs on my car. I built my own frame rails and used Alston housing floaters. I'll see if I can find some pictures. E-mail me if you don't hear from me soon.
