Here goes! I know you guys hate these types of questions but I will ask it anyway. I have been into building muscle cars for some time now but haven't kept up on camaro's much. I have a chance to buy a 68 rs coupe. One owner 60,000 orig. mile car. 327 low horse engine. All original numbers matching. Has had one repaint original color. Interior all original. no rust ever. not sure of all the options but it is a low option car. undeserable green with green interior. Whats it worth? Asking price is $9,000.

Any thoughts and or help is appreciated.

What's it worth? Whatever you are willing to pay.

CPI Value Guide lists this car as such:

1968 Camaro hardtop coupe RS

#4 condition - $6200.00
#3 condition - 10425.00
#2 condition - 17200.00

Give the car a really good look, especially body parts, trunk(esp. under package shelf) and underneath. Wouldn't hurt to get the #'s off the car to see if they truly match. A well maintained 60k mile car should show pretty well. Take a knowledgeable friend with you for consultation/support.
