I am looking to buy a 69 convertible that needs some work. The top is a manual one now, is the frame different on a power top or can you add the power motor and cylinders to the manual top? Also I have seen alot of power window cars while I have been looking lately, is this swap from manual window as well? I saw an ad on ebay from a 69 impala for power windows, would they fit? Any suggestions on a BB radiator, stay with the factory replacement or go with an aluminum one.

Mark, The power top is different then manual, sorry. The center hinge joints are different and welded in. I participated in an older discussion on this and posted some pics, try a search.
I don't think the power windows are interchangable with the Impala, but I'm sure certain parts are the same, motors, switches, etc. PW are avail in aftermarket though.
stock BB brass rads cool well, but if you like the look of alum and have the money, go for it. If you think you would have cooling problems, add another row to the core. i.e. 3 to 4 row core.
Luck on your purchase! Kevin
