would anyone comment on why some 69 Z28s have a redline that starts at 6,500 and goes to 8,000? thanks!!

If you are wondering if the 69 Z 302 would wind that high....Yes it did and yes it still does. Not the best for cruising around town but get them wound up and they are hard to beat.

Greetings and welcome. There were several versions, with some indication that the 6.5K redline came late in the production year, making it rather rare. My 03E X33 has the 6K/8K. I have never seen one, but it is some testament to the factory's faith in their little screamer! So I think the answer is it was a late year iteration. graemlins/beers.gif

thanks for the welcome! this place seems to have a great number of folks helping other camaro folks! My 11A X33 has this 6.5k/8k tach and i don't have any info on it.
