I am looking at a 12 bolt. The owner tells me it is a 68 Camaro 12 bolt rear.
The numbers are:
MANUFACTURES DATE CODE 389486ONF .OTHER NUMBERS STAMPED ON REAR HOUSING GM53 CONI H237
What is it worth?

the 3894860 is the GM 12 bolt stamp for 1967-1969 rears, the 3894859 code would be for a 10 bolt.
3894860 = GM 12 bolt
CONI = foundry control #
H237 would be august 23,1967
you need to get the axle code from the top of the passenger side tube respond with those numbers and we can further decode it with the ratio/posi manuf. info. so considering back in the day new cars came out august/september area, yes this is for a 68 camaro, its a 12 bolt, but get the axle code and we can decode it further
Hope this helps.
