these are the numbers stamped on the rear tube facing the drivers side PA0112G2 it is off of a 68 I am still looking for the other numbers(lots!! of dirt)

My book doesn't show a PA for '68 but does for '67 and '69. It's a 3:08 peg leg... built jan 12 in Detroit on the second shift.

Can't find a "PA" code for a 68 Camaro. Can you tell if it has ever been changed?

I am not sure if it has been changed or not.
the other numbers I have found are. left side facing rear of car from underneath GM 54 right side is 3894859NF I don`t see it in my book.

PA shows as a 68 axle code in all my sources. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
One the few codes that meant the same thing all three years.

Take a look in the "Camaro Restoration Guide 1967-1969" by Jason Scott. Page 198.... My friend has Chevrolet by the Numbers and it doesn't have some codes this one has. This one is missing some codes!! It's almost to the point you need to buy every book out there to get good info...!! Another one missing too much info is Chevrolet Parts Interexchange...

Can you (or anyone) recomend something that is both accurate and complete?

You're right, KurtS. It's in the dealer service information bullitin. 3.08:1 single traction.

Its also shows this in the parts catalog for 1968 Camaro's.

my orig. camaro rearend is also a PA code. it took me awhile to find the correct info. verifing it as a 68 rear.(before i logged on this site). but now its resting behind the garage( i guess i keep it now since it is original )
