View Full Version : Early build date '67
DjD Feb 25th, 02, 05:55 AM What are the chances of a '66 built camaro having a 283 in it?
Edit: From the factory!!

DjD Feb 25th, 02, 07:25 AM This ones here in the SF Bay area... I don't know when this page was put up www.irishsetters.com/mike/camarosc.html (http://www.irishsetters.com/mike/camarosc.html) but the owners belonged to our club a while back. The owners are currently trying to cash in on some club benifits and I'm trying to get them to join back up!! I'll be in e-mail contact this week and will ask about the car...

1967 Panther Feb 25th, 02, 09:47 AM 12/66 is not an early build date. I seriously doubt it had a 283...Unless it's a Z/28....Trim tag codes would verify..Also, M21's in 67 are extremely rare and I couldn't imagine it behind a 283..
DjD Feb 25th, 02, 12:18 PM Let's see if I can get some numbers before scoffing at it!! The page says "first sold 12/20/66" so how long did it sit on the dealer's showroom? Also if it was sold over seas how long did it take to get it over there?

mebe_epp Feb 25th, 02, 01:55 PM I think this would be cool , imagine this car restored sitting in a lot at a car show or hot rod event of some kind with 283 emblem's on it and the hood up with 283 air cleaner decal ???? would be nice .
Kurt S Feb 25th, 02, 07:34 PM Between the POP, invoice, and trim tag, we should be able to figure out what's going on. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
