Hi when I bought my car it did not have protecto plate/Build sheet or rear end tag. It does have the correct numbered rear end housing and everything looks original. I counted the teeth on the ring and pinion does anyone know how to convert them? There is 43 teeth on the ring gear and 13 teeth on the pinion. Any clues on the gear ratio?

Yes, simply divide 13 into 43...it's a 3.31:1 ratio!

Is this the 04C Z that you were looking at a while back or did you end up with a different car?

Kurt, you have a GREAT memory, yes it is the 04 C Z car. I bought it from lower PA. Is it normal to have 3:31 gears or was that someones option choice? Many More questions to come as I reassemble my Beauty.

Kurt, I am looking for the correct Short block for the car, what number block and codes should I be looking for? I have all the correct heads and bolt on parts for the engine. I still have a long way to go understanding the codes

Block depends on build date - your 04C car would have been built with either a 3956618 or 3970010 block (4-bolt in both cases). The changeover from the 618 to the 010 was in April, so either one is probably OK for your car.
