hmm no corrections i must have been right lol 67's seem the hardest to decode because of the options list , wish they were easy like 69 norwood cars

Where does the rear defrost and rear speaker bolt onto a convertible?

It's not a convertible. 12637 on the trim tag is the code for a custom interior Coupe. It would be 12667 for a deluxe interior convertible. 67 Trim tags only have this feature.

But if it is a convertible they bolt to the rear of the angled brace in the trunk that holds up the rear seat support. The defroster has a plastic duct that connects to the convertible top well. The speaker sits in a cardboard enclosure on that same brace, and the speaker grille is also inside the convertible top well. The well is sandwiched between the grille and the cardboard enclosure.

The first "4" means it came with an 8 cylinder. Since it isn't a "4P" code car, it isn't the L30 (327 cid 275 HP), therefore... 327 cid, 210 HP. Which is the same motor in many 67 RS Camaros... including mine. smile.gif

Sorry about the error on RPO #C50 rear defrost included in the operating convience group for 1967 & 1968. My sources of research excluded it as an option on conv. for those years. As for the RPO #U80 rear speaker I had made note of it not being available when I owned a 67 conv. and failed to list my source. I have made changes to my information and will crawl in the trunk of my 67 coupe with the #C50 and find that rear seat brace that it would be attached to if it were a conv.

Thanks for setting me straight once again!

Since it isn't a "4P" code car, it isn't the L30 (327 cid 275 HP), therefore... 327 cid, 210 HP.This is not 100% true, and in this case, false! Since the car is a powerglide V8 car, it could have an L30 (327/275H) or an LF7 (327/210H) engine. The 4P only comes into play on the L30 when the trans was a M20 (4 speed), and even then after December.

The 67 convertibles may not have had the rear defoster option. 68 and 69 did but I can't find the 67 parts mentioned in my 69 parts manual, only the 68 and 69 parts.

If they did have it then the description of how it is mounted i correct. All your going to find in the trunk is some dimples in support showing where to drill the mounting holes for the brackets.
