What your saying is putting everything together ,but I was told the M was a power glide and that TH400 were left blank on the tags for some reason.? .thanks for your help!!

12467 = Camaro 8cyl Convertible

Stan, you can reply to your earlier topic so that the this topic remains a single thread.
The VIN fits right in with the other LA pacers and it matches the tag.
M meant any auto trans in LA. Only PG in Norwood. Norwood used a Z for the TH400 (most of the time.
See http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#67Codes for details.
Let us know if you get any engine (or other) codes.

No problem with the help.
The engine looks original. There should be #'s before the MY code eg T0305MY.
The trans is stamped on an ID plate on the right side. E.g 67 A 234.
For the rear axle code, see the sketch at http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#RearAxleNumbers .

are there any codes that tell if a car had a factory tach an gauges. thank you

No, there are no codes indicating gauges. The 2 hints to look at are the tag on the speedo if you have it out. The tag has a code which tells if it included a speedo and often has a date stamp. Also, the wiring harness should have a GM tag on it if it is original.
I'd be interested in the engine, trans, and rearend codes if you were able to find any of them.
Thanks!

Thanks.
Well, it doesn't look like that is the original rearend. You're right, it should be a 12 bolt. And the date is off (Nov 23) for your car.
It is a 3.08 non-posi, BTW.
It sounded like you had found the engine code in the above post when you mentioned the MY code. It should be something like T0305MY and will be on the passenger side pad on the front of the block. Should be pretty easy to find.
Trans isn't too bad, but you got to crawl under it again to find it. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
